Admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 1996, Simon is the firm's Founder and Managing Partner. He is a legal consultant and lecturer at the University of Nairobi, where he teaches in both the Faculty of Law and the School of Business, and also lectures MBA students at Mount Kenya University on the Legal Framework for Business.

He specialises in contentious and non-contentious corporate and commercial practice, with particular expertise in banking, insurance (including marine insurance), financial securities and complex commercial disputes. His distinguished professional record earned him appointment as a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public.

Combining decades of legal practice with academic scholarship, Simon provides strategic leadership to the firm while maintaining a reputation for precise legal analysis, practical commercial advice and persuasive advocacy.

He specialises in a broad range of civil and probate litigation, with extensive experience in labour and employment disputes, land law, debt recovery, liquidation, insolvency, bankruptcy and dispute resolution.

He also drafts wills, obtains Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration, reseals foreign grants and oversees estate administration and testamentary property transfers for both local and international clients.

James is also an accredited mediator and arbitrator with significant experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
